Wales occupies the western part of Great Britain, bordered by England to the east and the Irish Sea to the west.
Its landscapes range from mountainous national parks to long stretches of coastline.
The Snowdonia National Park in the north features Mount Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales, while the Brecon Beacons in the south provide rolling hills and waterfalls. The Llanberis Path is the most gradual route up Mount Snowdon, accessible from April to October, with well-marked trails and mountain cafes.
