Wales occupies the western part of Great Britain, bordered by England to the east and the Irish Sea to the west.
Its landscapes range from mountainous national parks to long stretches of coastline.
The Snowdonia National Park in the north features Mount Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales, while the Brecon Beacons in the south provide rolling hills and waterfalls. Coastal areas like Pembrokeshire host the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, known for its cliffs and beaches. Cardiff, the capital, anchors the south with urban museums and a medieval castle.
Snowdon Summit Route
The Llanberis Path is the most gradual route up Mount Snowdon, accessible from April to October, with well-marked trails and mountain cafes.
Caernarfon Castle Visit
A UNESCO World Heritage site, Caernarfon Castle offers extensive battlements and views over the Menai Strait, open year-round.
Pembrokeshire Coast Path
This 186-mile trail runs along Wales’ southwestern coast, with sections near St. Davids featuring sea caves and birdwatching spots.
